It might be a good idea for a future event but space, time and the practicalities of it for this event aren't in our favour. Perhaps anyone wanting to sell old equipment could use the For sale forum and annotate that they'll be at the event so you can meet and complete the transaction there? |
Good idea, assuming you can locate each other in among 600 people.
Thanks for the email confirmation received. _________________ Graham.

Has anyone else spotted the irony in giving written directions to the venue for an event about sat nav?

I bet there will be a few who haven't dipped their toes into the satnav waters yet. :D _________________ Richard

Darren,
I registered on the 11th, got the auto reply, but no further confirmation on the 16th?
I'm guessing I'm in from your comments above - just no confirmation by emai?

Mark, you should have received a confirmation from me sent to your hotmail account on Sunday?
If not then apologies but consider yourself registered! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren,
I'm guessing that Hotmail decided it was Junk (was it sent to all 500 people ) And shoved it in the Junk folder...
The notification you had replied to me went there anyway
(Now identified as NOT spam...) |

Possibly, it was Bcc'd to 500+ addresses so could very easily have been classed as Bulk Mail. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The second wave of confirmations has just been despatched. if you're awaiting confirmation please ensure @pocketgpsworld.com is added to the 'ALLOW' list on any JunkMail service you may use.
We don't have much space left so the remaining places will be issued on a first come first reserved basis and if you no longer intend coming please let us know. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes, confirmation was sent to your Hotmail address as that was the one you applied from. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Acknowledgements were sent to you some time ago, as you use Hotmail I'd suggest you check your Junk Mail folder. _________________ Darren Griffin |

A huge thank you to all who have registered, I have just dispatched the final batch of acknowledgements, we now have well over 700 registered attendees which allowing for no shows puts us right up against the capacity limits imposed by the venue.
Sadly this means we can no longer accept new registrations, I will accept applications on a stand by basis but can only confirm these if registered attendees cancel. If you have not received a confirmation email from me then you are not confirmed.
And one last plea, inevitably your plans can change but if you know you're not going to attend after all and have been confirmed please let me know as there are others who would love to take your place. _________________ Darren Griffin |
