:D
tried loading the speed camera maps tonight, using the very useful instructions provided by Mike G (gebby). Great clear instructions, and all worked well, until I tried using Destinator.
When I selected Auto Alert 1, my Acer N35 hung and went slow for ages. Managed to un install the maps and all is ok now.
Has anyone else had this problem? and how did you get round it?
Thanx
Peter.

Peter,

When you first select the Auto Alerts the machine does run slow initially.

This is because it has to plot all the additional info you have now selected. However, the good news is let it finish (a minute or two) and everything will go back to normal. THe additional good news is this only happens when you select the Auto Alert for the first time. (unless you deselect and reselect).

Hope this all makes sence, but basically let the machine run slow for a minute or two and then all will be ok.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the tips, all seems loaded and I will be able to try it tomorrow.
Have noticed that the app does take longer to load now, does yours?

Cheers,
Peter.

Hi Mike,

Long trip to Bradford today, and all is working well. Had to adjust the alert distance, as those shown in the drop downs do not correlate to road distance, i.e. 200 yards is more like 100, but once set, and with a few camera alerts that were not cameras at all - its working well.

Thanks again,
Peter.

Answer to your first question is yes it does take a little longer to load, but that's 'cos there is now more info to load.

Glad to hear everything's working ok.

Mikey
