|
|
Hi there,
Am travelling to Florida tomorrow on a fly/drive deal.
Does anyone know if/where I would be able to purchase the US map package for TomTom 5 (or 3?) in Florida itself?
Somewhere in Orlando maybe as we are landing at Sanford before moving onto Orlando - rather buy the maps at the beginning of the tour than the end!
Thanks & regards,

If you are going for a week, try the free Mapopolis Florida maps.... _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies...couldn't buy the US maps anywhere in Florida...plenty of TomTom GO stuff but no TT Navigator that I could locate...
Not even sure if I can get them in the UK - expansys.com list the TT5 Navigator software (US) for £93.95 but does this package contain yet another copy of the TT5 program itself?
I already have that - all I need are the US maps themselves...
TomTom themselves continue to be a total waste of time - it has taken them a couple of days to send an auto-reply that gives links to FAQ's that do not address my question.
All I want to do is spend money with them - yet they continue to show utter contempt & total lack of care for their customer...I would be able to salvage at least some respect for their professional integrity should they at least have the common sense & courtesy to respond appropriately.
I mean this is a pre-sale question for God's sake...not after sales.
If a Company ignore a genuine request before they have your money imagine what their response will be after they have your money...
Thanks & regards,

I now live in florida and recently bought TT5 for my IPAQ, you cannot get it anywhere here I got mine from internet a company in New York. Anyway you did not miss much as the roads have changed so much in recent years in Florida the maps are almost useless. Jugging by new estates and knowing people who have lived here for a while the maps are 6-7 years out of date. |

Hi Glyn, did you manage to buy the US maps you needed? If so where did you get them from? How much did it cost?
Like you I have TT5 on my iPAQ and just want to buy the US maps (actually I need New York and Philadelphia).
I have a few weeks as I don't go until next month
Thanks

Give Inkino Ltd (Tel 0207 631 4567) a try as they show the "Maps Of USA & Canada on CD for TT Nav5" in stock.
http://www.inkino.co.uk/itemshow2.asp?ref=TTG032
Plus they're listed as one of TomTom's retailers on thier UK site as thats how I found them and I've been a very happy customer of thiers since. :-) |

Thanks for the replies guys,
Looked at the link provided - thanks but no thanks...too expensive.
Ended up buying from Expansys for 90 odd quid - complete TTN5 program and 7 or 8 map CD's...
I ordered on Wednesday and they arrived today even though they are showing 4 days until stock on their website.
HTH
Regards,
