TomTom 5 upgrade

Hopefully someone will be able to help me.


I have an IPAQ rz1710 which came with Navigator 3.
I have recently purchased the upgrade to Navigator 5.

However, I read the instructions for upgrading a Palm PDA instead of the Pocket PC PDA and promptly deleted all the files on the SD Card as instructed in step 1

I have now loaded Navigator 5 onto the IPAQ and the Great Britain maps onto the SD card.
When I run the program, I setup the language, the handing, the miles/km, the time format, and the voice.

This is where I get stuck

It opens a page headed "Select a map" and in the middle of the page is printed "No maps found"

On the bottom of the page I have 2 options, 1 is to download a map(which I would have to pay for) 2 is to cancel, which exits the application.

I have activated the upgrade on www.ttcode.com and it has given me a code to put into the Ipaq, but I can't get to the activation stage

My questions are:

Have I done a stupid thing by formatting the SD card?

Can I re-load the files that were on it?

How do I get the program to read the maps that I have put on the SD card?

How do I activate the product?

I have been looking on the TomTom website, but I can't find any solutions.

Any advise would be gratefully received.
