GPS Warehouse (Emails slower than Snail-mail)

I purchased a Holux gpslim 236 from GPSW last friday in person in there showroom, the unit worked fine for my journey home. However the following morning nothing (as posted in holux topics).

I telephoned to ask for an exchange on the monday (sadly as they are unusually not open weekends) and after explaining the problem was told to send it in and it will be exchanged. Now me being an "in person" kind of guy and not liking mail order or net shopping, i wanted to visit there and then to get my exchange, i mean i had sadly been with a non-working unit for 3days due to shop not open. I was politely told by the returns staff that it would need to be checked by an engineer for "user damage" and may not be able to have it exchanged there that same day. Which i was angered by as it only worked for 4hours and then went back to box, therefore as many shops a straight exchange would be sensible. When i did arrive it did take mentioning statute law to get an exchange on the spot (which they did straight away and politely it has to be said)

Now sadly the 2nd unit from then was giving me some trouble with charging and i had chats with Holux UK (very kind and helpful) and they said i ask GPSW for advice on firmware upgrading or a full refund.

Sadly i have to report that was over 3 days ago now, and still my telephone call has not been returned as promised tuesday, and 3 emails to them are still un replied too and even no "read" reciepts. I have now emailed there MD and as yet still no responses.

I dont like to do it, but sadly i would recommend avoiding GPSW firstly as there imported units do not meet authorised dealers specs, and most importantly you need to quote law to get an exchange, and they seem to forget the meaning of customer service when it comes to replying or contacting a customer.
