I'v loaded Navigator 4.2 + UK Map onto my iPAQ 2210 but it doesn't show Port 8 as a choice in the GPS Selection area. This is the Port my BT338 Bluetooth Receiver requires. Is it possible to change the Port on either ?
Thanks DJM

Further to the above , Port 8 was there, working fine with TomTom etc, until I installed Medion Nav. It seems a decent prog so I'd like to run it alngside TT for a while if poss.

It doesn't show COM8 because the Medion Navigator software is hard coded to COM1 which is the GPS COM Port the hardware it was originally supplied with uses.

As you are attempting to use this software on a different device and possibly contrary to the licence agreement then it won't work.

Hi Darren
Thanks for the info. Curiously, it will work with a plug-in Compact Flash based GPS receiver on Port 7 but the software zaps Port 8 from everything else, so Bluetooth won't work. Never mind, back to TT5 ! Smile

That's interesting. There was a German Forum with a hack that involved editing a .ini file to circumvent this but as it's technically a breach of Copyright (and I don't have the link anyway) you'd have to search for that yourself.
