TT Australia Navigator anytime soon?

I recently posted asking if the TT Australia mapping would be available soon but with not much of a response. I will flying over there in 4 weeks and am becoming concerned as to how I will be able to navigate around Queensland. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can go about this.

I do use Memory Map, can I scan any maps into this or does anyone have a suggestions?

last time I was in Australia the directions I had from Melbourne airport were;

from the avis depot take the xxxxx highway

then after 30 miles take xxxx

then after 4 hours (approx 300 miles) take a left at the Shell service station.

drive 25 miles and the house is on the right.

3 turns and 5 hours of driving - not sure how much a gps setup would have helped!

enjoy your trip, snorkling around the reef in October is truely brilliant and the rain forest north of Port Douglas is also well worth a look

TomTom currently only have Australia mapping available for their GO range. Although a Navigator products is rumoured it's not going to be any time soon.

Navman, ALK (CoPilot) and Teletype have mapping for Australia.

Iancjc - I guess your pretty much right out in the sticks! Although I might need the gps for when travelling in the Brisbane suburbs ;o)
