It would be really great if your site could create a cookie so that if we select newest posts first, our browser remembers this whichever thread we return to.

Not sure I understand your request. Newest posts are always on the top.

No. I always get the earliest post first whether using MIE or Firefox. I always have to go the bottom and select the option to view the newest posts first.

Oh, I see. Threads are sorted newest first, but posts in a thread are sorted chronologically. That's how it's designed . The only thing you can do is use the icon next to the topic (First post since your last visit) or on the very right (latest post).

Thanks for that tip. I had been been accessing threads directly from Hot Topics which doesn't have an icon for the latest post but I see the icon can be found if you go via the link in the Forum colum or Forums link on the left.
