I've got an original TomTom bluetooth GPS receiver which came with the cradle mount. I fixed the cradle to the windscreen of the car, using the sticky pad provided, so as to be able to mount the receiver in the non-metalised part of the windscreen next to the mirror.

I'm about to hand the car back to the leasing company, and wondered if anyone has experience of trying to remove one of these cradles that has been stuck in this way. Is it possible to get it off? And if so, does it leave any sort of unremovable mess on the windscreen?

I'd quite like to retreive the cradle, but don't want to try if it's going to break it or going to leave a mess that the leasing company would then charge for.

Thanks,
Paul

First use some heat to get it off (like a hair dryer) and then one of these glue removers (we call it "goo-gone" over here) to get rid of the residue.

Many thans for the advice. I've done it now and it wasn't too bad. Cleaning up with the sticky stuff remover worked a treat, and both windscreen and cradle were left spotless.

Thanks,
Paul
