5140 GPS Phone

Hi, I have a Nokia 5140i with GPS shell attatched, not as good as a dedicated GPS unit but hey it was free, i would like to connect it up to my laptop via the USB data lead so i can run some sort of navigation software on the laptop.
anybody have any idea if this would work? I guess it all kinda depends on whether the phone outputs NMEA sentances via the data lead

having worked on tracker boxes before I tryed playing around with hyperterminal but didant really get very far
