Stupid Go 300/500 Questions ?

Sorry to be a pain, I bought the cheap Zire 31/Mapsonic bundle a while back, and it works kindof OK, but not great, so am thinking of getting the Tom Tom Go to replace it.

I have a few basic questions, which I hope current owners can answer.

1. Is the Go500 worth the extra hundred quid for inertial guidance, or is it hardly worth the hassle - I feel like I should have it, but can't really think when it would help !

2. Do POI warnings come built in or is still an extra cost ?

3. Can you have POI audible alerts (ie speed cameras) switched on without voice instructions - I prefer not to have the nagging voice, and just use visual queues for directions, but I like to have POI alerts audible ! On Mapsonic I can do this by deleting the voice files for the directions I don't want, but assume it is neater on TT!

Thanks and any other tips over Tom Tom Go 300/500 choice would be great !!

1. No (never worked properly), although hands-free function is very good
If you don't need Blutooth, get yourself a GO Classic - from £230 to £280 these days.
2. Built-in and customisable + free speed camera database from this site
3. Yes (you'll need to install a free "empty" voice to do it)
