Splash Screens

Hi jdwales

If you run your name through a picture it takes a bit longer to take name etc out of picture to restore picture back to what it was like,sometimes a little to much work for the effort.

Yep know all that but (thanks anyway)i use boomspeed to host pics on here i wonder want % do i put into the picture size, if you look at ones have hosted they are small with i set at 40% i press preview then right click for properties they are right size when hosted they are smaller for some reason Sad

Don't photobucket only host for 10 days then they boot pictures from site?

I've got pictures on Photobucket at least a year old.

I remember something on the forums on ebay, ppl were saying that photobucket only hosted pic's for ten days, because you can have auctions for 1,3,5,7,10 days and photobucket was good as it hosted for ten days but may be wrong as always Rolling Eyes

As long as you log into the Photobucket account every month or so the pictures stay there indefinately.

Just made a new splash screen for my TTG classic, but it doesn't show up.

I made it 320x240. Saved as a .BMP. Rotated 90 degrees c/w and saved to Root directory of my SD card. Am I doing something wrong? Question

I note the SPLASH.bmp in the root is in capitals. splash.bmp isn't the same as SPLASH.bmp in linux wot the TTG uses. It prob won't see a file in the wrong case.

All the splash i have made i always name them in lower case and they have allways worked

Well, I was going to ask fatmanscoop to make me one as I am getting a new Proton next month.
After reading the thread though I thought I would give it a go myself.
So here it is, my first attempt at a Splash Screen for a specific car.

This is a jpeg file, I have saved it as well as a BMP, 320 x 240, and rotated it - see I do listen :D
I have put my screen name across it.
If anybody is daft enough to want it, just ask, and I can send the bmp no copyright version.
