preferences are deleted

i have a yakumo delta 300 gps,

i have got the tom tom s/w to work, but im having problems in saving my preferences, such as making a sound when im near a poi (Camera)

as soon as it switch my pda off, then switch it back on again, all my preferences are deleted,

is there a way to overcome this

I'm not sure but I think that can happen if the .cfg file in your Map folder on the storage card are set to read only, you need to copy it to your main pc via ActiveSync then right click on it and make sure that no Attributes are set at all, then copy it back to your storage card, I think that may work.

This happened to me when the SD card was accidentally switched to read-only - there is a tiny switch on the side of the card on the left hand side - make sure it is in the up position
