Handsfree / Traffic Update / Voice Guidance - erratic?

I wondered if anyone could shed any light on the following problem. I am using the TTG 500 with a Samsung D500 (I know it isn't on the approved list, but I'm not sure if that is what is causing the trouble).

The system works fine most of the time with Traffic updating, voice directions being given and the handsfree aspect working okay.

Periodically, if Traffic cannot update (say, I'm in a poor reception area) it seems to mute the voiced directions and any calls made or received don't work properly (nothing can be heard on the handset or through the TTG).

I can restore the voice directions by turning the directions feature off and on again and I can restore the handsfree by forcing a disconnect / connect from either the TTG or the phone. For no apparent reason traffic does pick up eventually (nothing to do with mobile reception).

From other posts, I'm thinking this is something to do with the Bluetooth capabilities of the phone - can anyone help?

Hmmm - obviously not many D500 fans out there!

Anyway, I've got an Orange Pay As You Go Sim in my old T610 and that is working perfectly with the TTG500. The only downside is I need to divert calls from one phone to the other when driving, but not too much of a hardship.
