Is it possible to edit the speed at which the map view disappears and the blue "safety speed " screen appears in TTN 5.1?

I very recently upgraded from TTN3 to TTN 5.1. I drive in GB and in Europe.

My old safety speed setting in TTN3 was set at 80mph - I guess this setting may have carried over in a hidden memory segment somewhere (but where ?) on my Ipaq 3950 as TTN5 also changed screen view at 80mph.

Now though - it just seems to please itself at what vehicle speed it changes - sometimes its at 70mph sometimes its at 73mph etc, and it can take a while to change back to map view. Even when speed is reduced.

Its very frustrating when leaving a motorway or Autobahn - I know which exit I need to take, but not which lane to get in cos it is still stuck in blue screen mode and I cannot see the direction I would need to take on the roundabout on the PDA screen as the next turn instruction may not have appeared.

Somehow - my old favourites were also carried over and appear in TTN5 - Just how, that can have happened I don't know - the new maps are stored on a brand new SD card. I uninstalled TTN 3 before installing TTN5 in the Ipaq defualt location, or at least I thought I did.

Any ideas??

Laughing Out Loud - Its just the map display I want - not the blue safety speed screen, I only ever used that as a reminder to lift my foot off the go pedal in the UK Wink

How about - Turn Off Map Display and Select - Never.

hehe - thanks for that guys. I wrongly assumed that the feature was solely to turn off the rolling map. Embarassed

That is sorted now and working as it should. :D

Any idea how my favourites inadvertantly got carried over from one version to the other? Wink

As further up - it was nothing that I did (as far as I am aware)

I uninstalled TTN3 and then used a new SD card to install TTN5 to - and there they were!! 8O

this is probably not the right place to post but has anyone come across an error while using this feature as when i do set it up after a few uses it always brings up an error when switching it on again and trying a new route
