I've had TTN5 since June and out of idle curiosity only just activated TomTom Plus for the trial month . Like the look of Traffic etc (admittedly am only currently experiencing it at my desk, connected via activesync).

Question is: Am I right in assuming that there's absolutely no way I could reasonably bluetooth-up my Mio 168 and make it able to access Plus services on the move?

yup Sad

You could craft a infrared connection to your mobile phone though...

Thanks for prompt reply. Have looked around the net quite a bit on this and now given to understand that IR port on Mio 168 will only work for file transfers. It won't work for modem comms.

But I don't suppose that's likely to cause sleepless nights to most other Mio 168 users Smile

... and, incidentally, even without the TomTom extras, I still wouldn't swap my 168 for all the tea in China.

But that won't help while you are navigating on the move as the bluetooth SD card occupies the memory card slot so where is he going to put his maps Question

I've tried Chineese green tea before and wouldn't swap my mother-in-law for all of it!!

Now for a can of (real) Coke :D (bye bye MIL, wish I could say it's been nice knowing you, but I can't).

I'm waiting for the 512 MB SD card with Bluetooth Sad

The Smiley(?) Sad say's it all. It's just wishful thinking, as is thinking Tomtom will put back the facility to alter the speeds asigned to the roads.

Ah well, we can all dream can't we?

Slightly off subject (sorry). Question for hookiestreet. I also have a Wifi card, I can use activesync ok wirelessly, but it wont 'pass through' to connect to the internet, have you managed to do this? if so I would appreciate it if you would let me know how. Thanks in advance.

Looks like all this will be remedied with the new Mio A201

http://www.superetrader.co.uk/mio-a201-integrated-gps-digiwalker-handheld-pocket-pc-p-376.html?osCsid=9dcf46e2437e5f62afc13aebcec296ab

Just a pity I might have to replace my trusty Mio 168 just to get the bluetooth I want. Still, I've got a month or so to think about it.

I use my Nokia to communicate with my ISP all the time, retrieving emails, etc, so I see no reason why it couldn't use the TT service, after all it is dial in isn't it?
