Does anyone know the map cabibration coordinates for the UK map that comes with PoiEdit? I'm talking about this one:

http://www.btinternet.com/~gripp/webpics/UK_web.jpg

The FAQ says "it's not very dificult", but trying to estimate the coordinates for a point in the middle of the English Channel off Land's End is not easy!

Or could some kind person let me have a UK map, plus coordinates and corresponding .inf file?

Thanks,
Geoff.

This is one of the minor irritations of the new method of map calibration! It has made it much more difficult to do it!

However, taking a look at that map and using Autoroute 2004, the nearest I can make it for each edge (Excluding the thin white border which must be cropped out because it will intrude...)

Top edge: 59.44679
Right edge: 2.19093
Bottom edge: 49.93387
Left edge: -5.71816

Cheers

Donald,

Thanks for that - the map now appears and no longer says it must be calibrated.

However, if I load a GATSO file there are no indications on the map as to where the GATSOs (or any POIs) are - I'm sure in previous version the map was peppered with little red pins, or is my memory playing tricks?

I also have a program called POIViewSE which does indicate POIs on a UK map, but the map is just an outline of the UK coloured yellow with no details apart from a few roads.

Can't comment on that - All I have ever seen is the one poi that is highlighted in the list. as you scroll down through the list, the location of that POI is shown on the map.

If you have Autoroute, you can use PoiEdit to convert to a suitable file type so that you can 'import data' into Autoroute. Then All POIs will appear at once as PushPins.

Regards
