I've finally got my system set up in the car, a HoluxBT mounted behind the rear-view mirror with car power, and Brodit cradle built into the gauge cluster with car power and audio.
Yesterday I used the system to travel to the anti-war demonstrations in Crawford Texas, and found that TTN's maps are extremely simple. I wished I had known where town boundries were, town names, lake names, streams, and other landmarks, just because I like to know where I am, and like to know where local police are likely to be, but none of this was available.
Is this just an issue here in 'the Colonies', or are UK maps extremely simple as well? I realize lots of memory space is saved, but I have enough flash to load all of North America and don't need it all. And I realize that simplicity helps at confusing times, but there could be a setting for more or less detail, as desired.
TTN is surely easy to use, but I'm disappointed with the detail. |
