how it is charged with mobile operators?

hi

ive got a PDA with t-mobile on a tariff called web and walk which gives me free minutes and 40mb of data a month.

how does traffic work? does it download its information via voice or as data or text messages to my PDA?

im hoping its not as messaging as i dont have any included!

also if it is MB of data and you say did a 4 hour journey and set the traffic to refresh every 10 mins, roughly how much data useage would that be?

it uses gprs data (ie mobile internet)

my usage normal 40 mile (- 1 hour)_ commute

updates ever 15 minutes - uses 40k of data.

so 6 updates an hour for 4 hours = approx 240k

As a rule I put 10 quid onto the phone I use for data only (orange gprs) every 6 - 8 weeks.
