As above. How do I go about loading a full UK map onto the device, so I have all roads/motorways etc.? Can I also load USA roadmaps on, or would I need another memory chip to do that?

Thanks in advance! Smile

Welcome

Have a look at the map product compatibility link on this page: http://www.garmin.com/cartography/

It appears that you can load the Metroguide maps (you might need the datacard programmer?) to see a streetmap but it appears that your GPS is not capable of calculating routes using the streetmaps or giving turn-by-turn directions. Sad

Thanks for the welcome. Smile

Yes, it would appear I can load any MetroGuide streetmap onto my GPS295. But, what I would like to know is how do I go about this procedure? I am going to buy a Europe CD as well as a USA CD, so what do I do when I have the CDs in front of me? How do I get them onto the GPS?

On some models you can connect the GPS directly to the PC and upload the maps through a serial or usb connection.

I am not that familiar with your particular model, but if it has a removable datacard then it should have come with a datacard programmer which plugs into the USB port of your PC.
