|
|
Hi
can anyone help - my car power adaptor broke and while I wait for a replacement from seidio I have bought a universal power kit - what is the correct power supply settings for input into the mount.
I can select any output from 1.5 to 9v with +/- polarity - I have hunted for the info on the seidio site without success - so thankyou to anyone who knows.
As an aside this mount's build quality is appalling for the price - the power cable stopped working and then as I pulled it from the cigar lighter the whole assembly broke open - not impressed as I was just packing the car for a 5 day trip to France.

Lutz
thanks for that - the unit is at home so I couldn't check it out - just hope one of the 10 adaptor plugs fits - if it does it will make for a much neater installation as the cable is straight and approx 2m long - so routing will be dead easy.

if 5V doesn't work, try increasing it in little steps. Normally 5V is the output, not the input. But then you never know if it doesn't simply passes the power lines through... Let us know how it works out. _________________ Lutz

Hi Lutz
tried it first at 4.5v :x
No option for 5v
tried it at 6v
it would power the power the mount at 4.5 but not charge the ipaq, at 6v it works well (and the sound from the peaker is clearer than before I think!)
The model was made by vivanco and came with a cassette adaptor for use with an mp3 / cd / md player .
Cost (from Sainsburys) 19 quid.
