TomTom v6 on Palm OS (Zire 72) - my thoughts

Hello ... I am upgraded to TT6 for Palm and it seems to work fine. I know my device is not officially supported but I did not want to change. As it turns out it works fine (so far).

One thing I did notice is that the there is not keyboard symbol on the lower left of the screen. One you put one letter in it will pop up. Anyone find this annoyance? I guess since this was made for Treo they already have a keyboard.

I will let you know if I find anything else. Please let me know if anyone finds anything other limitations.

I also installed TT6 on my Zire 72s.

I had a lot of programs installed in RAM and for TT5 I had to leave about 3-4 MB free for it to function properly. For TT6 I had to up that threshold to 5-6 MB. Considering the limited amount of RAM on Zire 72, it is significant.

Of coures this is not at all a scientific test and therefore your experience may vary. I noticed if I don't leave enough memory free, TT6 would have some graphics defect (e.g. empty icons in menu) and eventually crash.

The program also feels a little bit slower. Could it be the marginal improvement on graphics?
