Navman 520 recall !!

I am about to purchase my first satnav and decided that perhaps the Navman 520 has the edge. I visited Halfords store and the Manager informed me he has recently had 2 returned for touch screen problems. He says Navman know there is a problem, which may result in a product recall!! Has anyone heard if there really is a problem? Should I buy a TomTom instead?

I had a Navman icn 520 for 2 days, which had all sorts of problems.

Took it back to Halfords, and they had all the remaining units off the shelf, ready for return to Navman!

Now have a TomTom Go 700, which is, IMHO, vastly better anyway, so no regrets!

Have been using one of these for 10 days
Absolutely NO ISSUES

All the map data is under one section
i.e. no seperate folder for
Scotland
england
wales

So it takes longer to doo a search
