Oh yes! I'm using it here at the moment. It also works with the Emtac/Socket BT GPS. There shouldn't really be any issues as they're all using the BT Standard for conenctivity.

Dave

putting aside the bt aspect - how does TTN2 run on the 2210? Just thinking of the address search and general pace of the program. Really interested in how it performs next to a 3850 - maps on the sd card.

Cheers

Ian

It runs very smoothly. Give me an address to search for and I'll do a timing for you. I can do a timing on both 2210 and 3850/70 if you can come up with some addresses you sometimes find slow.

Thanks Dave

thinking about it I don't have many problems with address searches etc - it's just I'm a bit worried at the cost of new suits as I've got £300 burning a hole in my pocket as I write this.

Perhaps as a test of overall speed you could test the routing time (which I would like to be faster).

typical route London (city of London), Gander Green Lane SM3 to Sheffield, Hornbeam Close S35

takes approx 1min 40 seconds (193.9 miles).

Also just how much better is the screen for in car use (over the 38xx series)

Ian, on the 2210 running complete GB maps on a 512mb SD card it took 43 seconds to calculate (193.5 miles, duration 3:11:55) using quickest route.

My 3870 which is running TTN2 off a 5GB Toshiba PCCard Drive took 3m 38s.

My 3850 which is running TTN2 off a 128md SD card took 1m 30s.

So you should see the 2210 nearly two times quicker. Speed can also be affected by the SD card. I'm running a 512mb Integral SD card in the 2210 which I find is pretty quick.

From a volume and screen perspective I find it just as good. In-fact if you have an Arkon mount where the side walls push in, it's even better, because due to the depth of the 2210, means there's play, and you can angle the 2210 in the mount and push the side walls in to cut down screen glare.

I've fallen in love with the new smaller and slimmer design, just wish Compaq had done this when they brought out the original 3600 iPAQ!

not sure whether to thankyou or be rather afraid that you know exactly what mount I'm using!

looks like a few quid may be spent when the initial prices drop a little.

Thanks for your help
