Euromaps / postcodes

Has anyone had any joy entering postcodes into the western europe package.



I'm trying to sort out some routes in advance of a holiday and have the french postal addresses of the campsites I'm visiting but I don't appear to be able to enter the post codes in the address search.



I thought the uk implementation of the post codes was a little feable but this appears to be non existant - am I missing something or was the post code "feature" uk specific? I thought I read that the problem with uk postcodes was that we don't have just numbers but letters as well and now I can't find anywhere to enter the number only french ones.



Any help would be appreciated.

Belgian and French postcodes correspond more or less to the sorting office in the nearby major town. A street/postcode combo need not be unique, so they dont help very much for finding an address.



Dutch postcodes identify a few houses in a street, so I guess TomTom being a Dutch company, postcode search only really works in the NL.
