I've installed the safety camera data and voices - great.
I've set up the distance warning at 250yrds.

What is the ideal distance?

All depends on how fast you want to go.

i've set the fixed camera alerts at 400yds but for the mobile i've gone for 1000yds as they use lasers and can catch you from a greater distance.
luckily we dont have specs round my area.
work for me

If you install the speed related set, you can have a different distance for each speed.

different distance for different speeds - that's something I hadn't considered.

Recomendations?

like i said previous the fixed cameras activate as you are close to them so 400yds is more than enough, as you can slow down in time
the temp alert are mostly laser vans and they can detect speed from a much greater distance, and dont give you time to slow down.
so here are my distances:

Gatso
30 300yds
40 400yds
50 400yds
60 400yds
70 500yds
Mobile
30 1000yds
40 1000yds
50 1000yds
60 1000yds
70 1000yds

I have my gatso speed warnings on a bit steeper curve from 200 yds at 30 to 600 yds at 70. And all the mobiles at 800 yds.

Hi,
After loading the safety cameras (speed zoned) onto my ttg
and setting the distance warning I am not sure what would be
a good starting point for the secs and temps settings any ideas !!.

I have a short warning for specs cameras. they come in pairs and monitor your average speed over a distance. So you have plenty of time to react.

Temp cameras are usually in roadworks, so usually 40mph or below.
