TT2 Vs. Destinator

Just looking for a quick opinion - if Destinator sorted out the maps so you could load the whole of the UK, would you then consider it a better product than TT2?



I use TT2 at the mo and i'm pretty pleased with it, but as i see it, the only really problem is the maps. Am i right in thinking the maps on Destinator are better?



I still don't see why they couldn't compress the Uk to say 200MB, especially considering the price of CF at the moment.

Destinator maps are fairly precise, but it's not just the point of sectional maps that puts people off, TomTom have much more support for add-in's like POI's, speed cameras, third party developer support, and that's what makes it more attractive over Destinator.



When I spoke to PowerLOC when we were writing the review of Destinator 2, I did ask them why they hadn't created a complete country map, and they didn't really seem to think it was a big issue until I spelled it out to them. It really does put people off if they've seen other systems which have full country maps that can be loaded.



PowerLOC did say they're next thing will be to make a complete map, but realistically I don't know how far off that is, whether it is a few months, or we won't see it until Destinator 3 perhaps.
