Just bought a sat nav and PDA set up from Total PDA, I bought the equipment before I seen the comments on the Pocket GPS forum. So I was a little worried.

I need not have been worried the good arrived next the working day and the support I got from Stephen at Total pda was second to none.

They explained to me that they were having some concerns with their dispatch department in the past and they have got all that sorted now.

So thanks alot total pda and Stephen.

Now I just need to figure out how to work the tom tom

;-)

I purchased mine from them too - excellent service and support.

My GPS receiver failed recently (under warranty) I called them for advice and got someone knowledgeable on the phone who talked me through some things to look at (which I had) so they suggested that I returned it for testing, fixing or replacement and they returned a new device within 1 day.

Bought a IPAQ 3970 from them a year back

Just added TomTom Bluetooth GPS and Navigator.

Very helpful with advice putting the package together, delivered promptly. One small glitch being attended to by their support people who communicate fast and well by e-mail.

Buy with confidence from them.

I wish I could share your enthusiasm for TotalPda! I purchased a gps bundle from them some 10 weeks ago - H2210/TTN2 - just been looking on their website and see they are offering same bundle (except with TTN3) for £70.51 less than I paid!! I for one won't be knocking on their door again! 8O

Tom

With the greatest of respect, you can hardly blame the dealer for the change in prices in the 10 week period you mention, in the retail market place prices can and do change due to a number of factors. I would suspect that these prices have probably changed in line with their competitors and maybe the lowering of prices by the manufacturers or distributors. Also bear in mind that 10 weeks ago TT3 was not a released product (late March was when the product was announced) so again the dealer could not have taken that into account when you placed your order, even if the dealer did know the imminence of new software, which they may not have.

If you are like most people you would probably have trawled around the web pages of a few dealers checking prices/availability etc before buying, and if so, then I would hazard a guess that the prices were pretty much the same, as they are now - how can you hold the dealer to blame because prices have come down? I would be more inclined to berate them if they kept the prices high and were blatantly profiteering, which it seems this dealer isn't.

Seeing a change in prices after you have bought, especially in the technology/computers market is a fact of life you will just have to live with I'm afraid - happens all the time, irksome, but there you go.

Best Wishes

Steve
(never dealt with this dealer and have no connection with them - so no particular interest to declare)

My only gripe is all their prices are ex VAT. At first glance it looks like a good price.
OK if you are operating B2B but for retail they should clearly display the VAT inclusive price like all the others do.

Bought my ipaq 3970 and TomTom 2 from them last year, they couldn't have been more helpful.

I would certainly deal with them again.

I received my ipaq 2210 with tomtom bluetooth and car kit last thursday.
I was impresed with the price I got them down to. I had a problem with the mount so I phoned them on saturday but there was no technical staff available on saturday but they said they would phone back on monday, and low and behold first thing this morning I got a call from them.
So I have to say I would deal with them again.
Regards
