If your Tomtom 700 version is 5.2 then download the upgrade from Tomtom and then follow instructions. Should not be a problem |

Is your version of 5.201 on a disc? if it is you might have a problem with it. If you have downloaded it, open up the file but do not reinstall the upgrade but use the full backup feature, it does take a while. If you have not downloaded the file, then I suggest you download it. Hope this makes sense |

If you have Windows XP you can use the backup utility in the Operating system I've backed my TT up using both methods - they're just as effective. Afer all it's just a portable hard drive.
If you right click on the TOMTOM icon in my computer and go to "Tools". you'll see an icon saying "Backup".
Make sure you only choose to backup your TOMTOM drive by manualy selecting what you want to back up and then choose a destination on the PC.
My file size was about 1.38Gb and it took about 5Mins to complete.
Hope this helps. _________________ Thanks,
