|
|
Hi,
Bought a 1GB card for my tt300 and added quite a few POIs. All downloads seemed to work ok however not all can be looked at in the tt. Hpoe this is making sense, anyway the question I have is the a max number of POIs that can be added to a tt300 or is it size related?
Any comments would be gratefully appreciated. |

hi
you can have up to 40 poi catagories (27 when using version 5.2) but each catagory can contain as many pois as you want
the more pois you have in each catagory the more time it will take to find the poi (i have a catagory with 77,000 pois in and it takes a couple of seconds to find a poi. not long i know but it does slow it a little)
obviously the more pois the larger the file therefor the more space it will take up on the card. but in saying that my catagory with 77,000 pois is only about 2.5mb

Thanks Linrew that explains a lot.
I thought I was doing something wrong, or starting to go mad, as I had loaded about 30 catigories yet the last 2 or 3 were missing. I wonder why you get less with a newer 5.2 version? You'd thing it would be the other way round.
Anyway thanks again for clearing things up

There's a highly technical reason.....its called a c**k up!
Apparently TomTom didn't even realise that it had happened until it was pointed out to them by one of the moderators on this or the MyTomTomGo forum. They've promised to sort it out in v5.3 (August?) |
