Anyone know if there is anywhere I can buy the maps for France from? I've got the full Mobile 5 UK package & want to add France. TomTom have been promising them for over a year but are they available elsewhere? |

The FAQ says seperate maps are going to be available on memory cards to purchase. Although I would give you good odds on TomTom Mobile 6 being out before they get around to that |

I have given up waiting for maps of France - and I've ordered an entirely new Mobile 5 with maps of France (strangely, this is down as available on Expansys UK, but GB is not).
I'm hoping that when other country maps are available, I can upgrade them both to UK/France. Either for Mobile 5, or future versions/upgrades?
Alternatively, we can use the France licence as a resource, to move from one phone to another, when people go over there (don't know if I am able to uninstall it from one phone and move it to another).
Anyone know if I can have both the UK and the French version running on the same phone? If so, how? I don't suppose it is possible to just copy the Franch maps on to the SD card (if so, that would obviously open them up to people copying maps, so I guess they have stopped that). I'd ask TomTom directly, but I can imagine the answer I would get from them. |

Use Tomtom navigator 3 pocket pc maps. They are compatible with TTM 4 & 5. |

I'm sure you are right.
I think it is just that we are making life really difficult for ourselves by trying to keep it in line with the license and legal.
That, and trying to get some sense out of TomTom Customer Services, and we are plainly going to lose the unequal struggle. |

you should be able to have both maps on the same card
there is a option in tt5 to select map and providing its happy with the whats installled it will work
i am hoping they are going to release maps of western europe on cds so that we can load them through our pc etc
but i am sure they are waiting until all the road construction is completed and there are no new roads to be built ever they willhave had time to check each mile so the maps are 100% accurate
