|
|
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the tomtom navigator sd cards on more then one device? When you activate your sd card the website ask for a device code. When trying to activate it for a second pda tomtom refuses.
Someone must know how to do this. This way, if my boyfriend wants to use the tomtom, he doesn't have to take my pda all the time............
Thanks in advance |

When you buy TT you buy a license to use it on one PDA. If you want to use it on two you need to buy another copy. |

TomTom is licenced for use on one deviceas it also uses the devices IMEI which is the id no. of you device. You can install it to another device after I believe 7 days and TomTom will issue a new activation code but you then won't be able to transfer it back to the original device for 6 months. In your case your boyfriend need to buy his own copy. _________________ Graham.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers. Good to know, we'll buy another copy. we needed western europe anyway.
However, there's one more thing. I now use the original sd from tomtom in my pda. Is it possible to copy this on to another sd so I can leave the mastercopy in a safe place? |

Even better - the data can be copied to a folder on a ahard drive, then burnt to CD or whatever. |
