I have always had a problem hearing "The Voice" on my N6600.
As I was walking round a boot fair this morning I saw a hands free kit for a 3330. It is type that plug in the lighter socket. I knew the hands free ear piece and car charger from my old 3300 works on the 6600 so I took a gamble and brought it for £3.00
I tried it when I got home and the volume is very loud (I had to turn the volume down), even with music playing at a normal level I can hear it clearly.
There are loads of these for sale on Ebay for a simular price, but hardly any say its for the 6600.
This is a link to one.

I Hope I may have helped some one as I remember someone else having this problem but I cant find the thread |

Hi i am a first time user.If this is in the wrong place i am sorry.I am having this very anoying problem.Everything is working fine appart from on anoying bug which i can't solve.I have spent hours looking through forums and have read through all of tomtom product help files.I am a callout electrician so i do hundreds of miles a week to places i do not know so tomtom mobile 5 is a god send for me.I use a Nokia 6600 and a genuine Nokia hands free (model Nokia PPH-1 plug in hands free kit.The problem is i can't get the spoken directions to come through this hands free kit.As i drive a Transit which are not very quiet at 60mph i struggle to hear where i need to go.I have to have a kit i can swap from van to van as i don't always have the same van.I have a window suction mount so some times the sun shines on the screen so you cant visualy look at directions.Plus it is distracting taking eyes off the road to look at the little screen.I sometimes have to hold it close to me to listen to the directions but i got pulled over by police because they thought i was using it to make a call so the nice officer let me off with a warning when i explained to him.Surley a mobile phone navagition software will work with a hands free kit to produse loud spoken directions through the handsfree speaker whils driving.A soultion to this problem will be very appreciated. Is there a patch or update to combat this problem as there seem to be alot of people with this problem.I have trie connecting phone and then plugging hands free kit into fag lighter first and then starting tom tom but still no luck.I have tried various ways with no luck and are getting very frustrated. The frustrating part is the phone calls work hands free so i can't understand why the directions don't come through the loud speaker, maybe a software issue what a patch or update will fix.If this can be resolved it will be everything i could ask for and more.Thank you in advance.Carl |

Can't see from that picture whether it's got one pin or two on the end that goes into the phone or not?
Reason is there's two on ebay for sale.
I'm getting confused with what works and what doesn't on the 6600 now |
