Hi.
I have the older version of Tom Tom Navigator on my iPaq with the Road Angel Classic as its GPS Source. This has worked fine since i got it.
A friend of mine just got TomTom 5 and let me borrow his device to see if i waned to upgrade.... the slight problem i have is that Tom Tom 5 doesn't seem to recognise the Road Angel as a GPS Source. The GPS Screen does allow for manual configuration, so i chose "Wired Device" and then i was faced with com port selection and speed. I systematically went through them all (or so i thought) to try to get the right settings, but to no avail.
Can anyone help? has anyone got TomTom 5 working with the Road Angel Classic? If so, please point me in the right direction to set it up.
Many thanks in advance

yes, the option "NMEA" in the configure menu is the first option (if i can remember rightly). Then it goes through asking port and speed details. I would be usefull to know what speed the Road Angel pushes out, but i can't find that info anywhere

Just had confirmation that the Road Angel is pushing out at 4800 for later firmwares and 9600 for earlier.... i will need to check the firmware to see which is mine, then all i need to find out is what the bottom port of the Compaq iPaq 5550 is know as (com1, com2 etc). Should be no reason for it not to work after that.
