Refund

After waiting 15 days for TomTom to fulfil my upgrade order, I decided to cancel on account of the various limitations covered elsewhere in this forum.

Needless to say, within an hour of sending the cancellation, TomTom suddenly sprung into action and posted it anyway. I then received an email telling me to get in touch once I'd received it so that a refund could be arranged.

Over the last couple of weeks, there's been various email exchanges (using TomTom's 'My Questions' thing) culminating finally in an RMA number.

I then got an email asking me to go to the 'My Repair & Service' bit of the site and enter my bank details so that a refund could be made. I thought they probably meant my card details (seeing as that's how I paid for it) but on looking at the site:

(a) they do want my bank details, and
(b) it's not even a secure web-page (no padlock)

Is there any reason why they can't refund my card? I thought there were legal reasons why you HAD to refund the card in such circumstances.
