in march i purchased a hp ipaqrz1700 specifically for use this summer in france.i loaded the appropriate disc onto ansd card,popped it into my pda and logged on to the appropriate tomtom site in order to purchase the activation code.UH,UH.this sight is now an ad for nav5.only days away from holiday so 'phoned tom tom.after at least 25 calls got thro'to a customer services person who promised to email the correct site by return.still waiting.got a reply to an earlier email,obviously auto generated saying that they were very busyand would be in touch.anyone out there able to help? Confused

thanks,but "ttcode" only seems to apply to the initial activation of the GB mapping and not to the additional maps,or am I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?

The old link would ask 189 euros for a new code to unlock all the maps.
This offer you see now is only 59,- + p&p for all the new European maps.
Seems a better deal to me.
But I can understand it's only the code you want NOW. Best to keep on asking TomTom for that. Just amke clear to them that you want to buy the update, but that that will arrive during/after your holiday. They might then be willing to give you the activation code for France map.

HAve you had any luck with TomTom over this, I have emailed several time but had no luck. I would be prepared to pay to activate the damn maps if the option still existed! Also when you upgrade all your existing software is immediately invalidated so you can't go back to original Navigator software which was supplied in the pack. Genius... Evil or Very Mad
