Bluetooth Disconnections

Hi

I have a ipaq2210 with TomTom3 and a Fortuna BTgps

I tried to move the TomTom to an SD card rather than the original Compact Flash - this seemed ok however following the re-installation the paired device icon for the BTGps has a Blue question mark superimposed over it.
Also the BT connection now fails after a random time with an error

BTTrayCE Cannot find serial port for the BT Device (or somat close to that)

and the paired devices page is offered so I can reselect the GPS

I wouldn't mind the question mark so much as long as the connection stayed up

Any of you seen this - Know how to resolve it?
Any help would be brilliant because TOMTOM and HP have been useless so far
