Despite using a screen protector, I have managed to get a scratch on my screen, Is there anyway of removing it by say polishing it out. It is a nuisance more than anything so it doesn't warrant replaceing the screen.

I don't know if this will work but it used to be used by watchrepairs (according to the TV prog How? in the 60s). Try a CLEAN soft cloth coated in brown sauce and rub hard. It does actually work for shallow scratches and definitely reduces their effect. Suggest you try on some unimportant glass first just in case your sauce or cloth has grit in!

Don't know if it would work, but when I worked in a builders merchants some years ago, we used to use a soft cloth with a little dab of Brasso on plastic baths to remove light scratches, before selling them on to the customer. This seemed to work a treat, however on light scratches only...nothing real deep. Don't know if it would work on your screen. If you do try it, and it works, let me know. If you do try it, and it messes up your screen, let's pretend we never met. Good luck!

Hi there
Another thing you could try is a very tiny bit of T-cut. I stress the 'tiny' . It will polish out minor scratches.
Good luck

I recently repaired a 'minor' scratch on a plastic watchface using a small amount of toothpaste. Use it sparingly on your finger, and apply it in a circular motion , and you should find it gets rid of the scratch. It may take sometime so be patient!!.

Thanks for comments guys. I had hoped someone had actually tried something.

I was tempted to use a paste comprised of brown sauce, brasso, t cut and toothpaste just to be on the safe side but common sense prevailed,

I have tried duraglit (ie brasso) It doesn't damage the screen but will require an awful lot of elbow grease even for small scratches.

Toothpaste is very difficult to get off so not to be recommended.

I haven't plucked up the courage to try brown sauce or T-cut.
