newb needs help!

Hey all, this morning for Christmas I recieved an iFinder "Hunt" GPS+WAAS.

What I want from a GPS:
-Battery Life
-Light, handheld
-Shows MPH, I mainly want a gps to judge speed in boats, cars, etc.
-Water proof/resistant

Is this "Hunt" GPS for me? Looking at the unit in the box, its very large in comparison to other GPS units I've seen. However, battery life looks good (12hrs) and its water proof. Is iFinder a mainstream brand?
