Thanks Stewed and Biker 1
I downloaded Holland Grey and one or two others to try. I set up a folder called Schemes on my SD card, but it didn't work until I downloaded a scheme from TomTom as part of my 1 month trial of Plus. Then the Plug-in schemes option sprang to life. I went back to the folder and renamed Holland grey to Greys and then I could load it onto my PDA.
I was interested to try it to see if it gave better contrast under bright light conditions. It seems fine in built up areas, but in open country there seems very little contrast between the road and surrounding countryside. For people whohave tried the lot, which one shows up best in sunlight (either from the CSE or TomTom selections)?

Yes, I might try that. I don't think they work unless you use TomTom approved names. Does anyone have a list of these. I tried one from CSE called Becks_grey and that didn't work, even after I changed the suffix from .CLR to .clr

I just made a folder "schemes" in root of PDA, and put some .clr-files in. I did not have to dload anything from TomTom to have it work. Filenames can be anything, but the extension (.clr) needs to be lower-case.

Let's get back to the topic. The german forum pocketnavigation.de has a link to a Windows based menu generator. Self explanatory freeware...

Nice.. But it would be more nice if it could be translated to atleast english or use a language file so one can translate it to his/her own language.

I have tried to use it to edit an imported file and have found lots of problems using both IE and Firefox so I am not confident in its use - for example, i messed arround with my navigation between screens.

Has anyone worked out the manual editing method of redesigning the preferences screens?
