Just bought Co-pilot live - pocket pc and was wondering if they sold a face cover similar to what you get with the expansion packs to work with the pocket co-pilot sleve that attaches to your IPAQ (I have a h5555)? It would be nice to cover the face of the ipaq while driving/hiking but it doesn't look like there are any place to hook on a cover-like device.
Any help would be appreciated...

Unfortunately there is no such protection available. It's a good idea, but most people do tend to discard the protection packs as soon as they want to use sleeves. It would be good to see a new type of protection pack that could be incorporated into most types of sleeves but I doubt we will see anything soon. |

I believe it's possible to buy the moulding used in the HP/Compaq Expansion Pack Plus products from HP/Compaq spares dealers. I have heard of people buying this top cover and fitting it to a Compaq Dual PC Card Expansion Pack so that they can then use the 'screen protector' - but the screw holes and similar may well not line up with non-HP/Compaq expansion packs, making such a transplant impossible.
Obviously, attempting such a modification would void the warranty on your expansion pack.
I've got a HP/Compaq PC Card Expansion Pack Plus - which I use with the screen protector in place. The iPAQ gets carried around in my Podzilla.

Thinking further, I believe there's some leather cases around that fit an iPAQ with a Navman sleeve. However, I don't recall any of these being updated for the 5000 series (they're for the 3800/3900 series), which means some of the cut-outs (for the headphone socket and so on) won't line up correctly.
