TTN4 / TTN 5 and VGA devices exit problem

After doing some research on various VGA device forums, including the ipaqhq (and this forum) for 4700, aximsite for x50v, fisrtloox.org for FS 720, and my own Asus A730, there seems to be this annoying problem with the exit freeze on VGA devices.

The problem is that when these VGA devices are connected to bluetooth GPS, after running Tomtom for a period of time (30min, 1hr+, etc), the device would freeze from anything from 30sec to 5minutes when you exit the program. A lot of people can get over it by doing a soft reset after exit but that is not how a program should work, not to mention this problem appeared since TTN2004/4.4.

The freezing period is proportional to the running time of Tomtom.

Although someone on aximsite suggested giving the GDI a larger glyphcache in the registry would fix but it didn't.

Has anyone emailed to tomtom support about this issue?
