Tip for choosing "Avoid Roads"

Destinator appears to use multiple descriptions of a single road, each description relating to a particular section or length of road. In adding an Item to Restrictions it is not obviuos which description is the best to use in any particular situation.

By tapping the main map (i.e. not the show map) at the place to be avoided a description is given in the pop up window. I've found that the different descriptions available can be found by tapping on or to either side of the road at the place to be avoided. Destinator appears to show the description for a longer length of road by tapping just to the North or West of the road, and for a shorter length by tapping just to the South or East.

Ideally, Destinator would have provided "add to avoid roads" in the pop up window. But, armed with the description, it is at least now possible to pick one from those available in the Restrictions/Items/Add menue.

As an example you may want to avoid the B1113 at Sproughton.
By tapping around within the location you can find that the B1113 is also called "High Street" and that the restricted lengths depend on the road name and the Parish, Town or District name chosen. In this case the Parish name can be Sproughton and the District Babergh.

The lenghts of each chosen description can be checked by tapping Avoid Roads/Restrictions/Add/Show.

Hopefully this will help in not making unnecessarily large detours.
