Navigator 2004 hangs on exit

Nearly every time I exit Navigator 2004 for PPC using a Holux bluetooth GPS, my Dell Axim x50v hangs. I need to do a soft reboot to get it to work. Is this a symptom of the poorly design GPS drivers which came with TomTom?

Further, if I power the unit off and on during a route, I always need to go to the GPS preferences in TomTom, "select" my GPS again like its an initial setup, pick any port, it doesn't seem to matter which one strangely, and then the GPS "reconnects" back to TomTom.

What is happening here? I can't even turn off the PPCs power at a gas station without working to get the program to run again properly.

Actually this is a problem of the Dell. TomTom werer not aware of this device and it's fancy graphics accelerator when TTN 2004 came out.

Other programs have issues with that machine, too.

This exit freeze happens on a lot of VGA devices including the hp 4700, asus a730.

I really wish there's a real fix for it.
