Confused Tom Tom 3 or 5

HI GPS People,

What should I do?

I recently sold off my GPS kit as my employer has supplied with an 'Orange' SPV M2000. And I am waiting to purchase the 'NEW' Tom Tom 5 with Bluetooth GPS, but when is it going to arrive, the date for stocks to arrive seems to change from supplier to supplier.

So I've been looking at getting a BT-338 Globalsat device off E-Bay and finding a cheap copy of Tom Tom 3 and up-grading to Tom Tom 5 using the latest offer from Tom Tom.

Is the TomTom Bluetooth device going to match the BT-338?

From the info I've read the BT-338 is a great piece of kit that has now gone to Ver 2.0 so the best just got better?

software: I'd recommend to go for the upgrade path - that way you get the feel for 3.07 and can appreciate the loss when you move over to 5.0

BT receiver: Both use SiRF III, so the performance is about the same. I would think the BT-338 has the bigger battery. THe MK2 seems to look more masculine, the BT-338 more feminine.
