tomtom3 maps with tomtom5

i have just found this on a site i visit sometimes

Just to point out: All earlier maps works fine with TomTom 5! In every map-folder there's a file called .pna. In that file you have the version no. of the map, that needs to be changed to 562! So for example, copy the France maps from TomTom Navigator HP Edition to an SD-card, edit France.pna so that it says 562 instead of 390 and it should work with TomTom 5.

i can not test this as i dont have tt3 maps any more Sad

would be nice to know if it works

Can confirm it works no problem

I have jsut set my TT3 UAS Maps to work with TT5 (As I doubt they will ship my new US Maps before my next trip!)

SO at least I can now use the old maps without having to unload my UK TT5!!

Can't help with that one as I don't have TT3 loaded on my unit any more

So far nobody has managed to get V5 maps to run with TTN3. That's a pity since TTN3 with newer maps would be the ideal solution.

i use tt3 with ttgo maps they are just as good as tt5 it has m6 toll road on it

Tell me mate as I have an origonal TomTom Go here in fact I already copied the SD card onto a new directory on mt 1GB SD card I use with PocketPC for TTN3? When I coped the Go files directly into my Great_Britain folder TTN3 say's not maps installed?

What do I need to do?
