|
|
I have searched and searched trying to find maps of the USA to help me during my holiday to the States in August but cannot find any anywhere.
So do they actually exist yet, will they ever exist and if they do - will they work with my UK TTG 300.
Please someone put me out of my misery and tell me one way or another whether I am wasting my time.
I guess what I really want is a very very nice person to come along and post a link to an online shop selling exactly what I want.

I am known not to be a very very nice person, and have to tell you that the v5 maps are not yet available for the US.
In the meantime you can buy the old v4 maps here
http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=57
Those will work with the GO. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your help but even following that link it says they are out of stock.
Anywhere else they might be available. |

Also
Is it likely in the near future that I will be able to buy individual States already pre loaded onto an SD card as that would be ideal.
If not how likely is it to be that USA maps will be readily available to buy in the next few months. |

It is far more likely that you will be able to buy the whole of the US on a single SD card in the not too distant future.
The maps do exist. They will probably be available about the same time as the launch of the new GOs in the states whenever that will be. _________________ Mike Barrett

I had the same problem. Going to the US in June, and couldn't wait around for TomTom to release the new USA maps.
I ended up finding the old ones (1GB SD Card version) on a Danish website http://www.fifonetwork.com/. I rang them up, and luckily the guy spoke reasonable english. He talked me through putting the order through the website, and the maps arrived 2 days later. With the Danish version of VAT and delivery, I think it worked out at somewhere under £190 - not cheap, but if you are desperate... |

hi
try www.firstict.com
they are advertising regionalised maps on SD card for all these regions Benelux, Spain/Portugal, Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Poland/Czech Republic, France, Scandinavia, Italy, USA and Great Britain.
the price is 100 quid per card but no idea if they have any yet as i have had no reply from them regarding USA maps
