Favourites show wrong county

When I add a favourite which is in a town/city where there is more than one town/city with the same name, the favourites screen lists the wrong occurrence of the town/city. For examplse select POI/Airfields/London Gliding Club. This is in Beddfordshire and shows as Church End(South Beds). Add this to favourites. When I list favourites it shows it as Church End(Wilts).



I assumed this was a minor bug so reported it to TomTom in the hope that they would fix it in a future release. I was surprised to get an email reply telling me to completeley remove TTN and maps and reinstall from scratch. I am loathe to do this as I wonder if it is necessary.



Does anyone else see this problem or is it really something amiss with my installation?

I think from other messages in this forum there are other people who see this - I definitely do!



As my PDA has just bombed, and my backup refuses to load I'm about to do a re-installation, so I'll let you know if that makes any difference...

My verdict is: don't waste your time!



(Fujitsu Loox with v152 rom. Hard reset pda, re-formatted SD card via XP card reader. Loaded TT2.00 to PDA, maps to card, updated to TT2.02. Regional position is still shown incorrectly.)

Try looking up Hatton Cross tube, it shows it OK providing you accept it is in Hatton, Scotland!

Thanks for the confirmation of my suspicion. I will ask TomTom why they want me to waste an hour when they could see the problem with one minutes work.
