Map of France, how much and where to buy.

Having looked at a number of these devices, Mio 269 first then Navman, I am coming round to the view that the TomTom GO 300 is probably going to best suit my purpose. However, there is one thing that is causing me concern, and that is maps. I am going to France shortly and I want street level mapping of that country. Where does one purchase these maps, and how much are they i.e. France street level on an SD card, or is it cheaper to buy all street level European maps on CD then buy a blank SD and save data onto blank card? Thanks in advance for any responses

According to the TomTom site the single country, street level map on SD card will be available in week 21 ( which is the week starting 23rd May)
They haven't said how much it will be but you can buy the Maps of Western Europe on CD for £99 from Amazon.
TomTom say these maps will be available for the end of June but Amazon reckon delivery will be from 18th May onwards.
A single country on SD card I reckon will probably cost as much as buying the Maps of Western Europe and a blank SD card
