Just how up to date will the new TTG maps be ?
The parts of the revised A120 has been open two years and are only just becoming available. No more driving across fields. Laughing
Will they have all the access roads to the new Robin Hood airport ?
(fact that it is near Doncaster and not Nottingham is confusing enough)

And why isn't the map available as a download instead of on card/CD ?

As regards "Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood International Airport" - which as you point out is at Finningley near Doncaster (on the site of the former RAF base) and about 30 miles away from Sheffield. I live about 3 miles away.

At the moment the access roads to the airport are the existing access roads to the old RAF base. You enter the airport complex past the old guards house and as far as I am aware the roads are on TT maps now.

When I get chance I will check this out and post a reply.

The new link road for the airport from the M18 is not due to be built until 2010.

If you use sat nav and approach this area from the East the route takes you straight through our village on a road that has a bend just before the point were children cross over to the local park.

Regards

Alan

We've got many threads going on the same issues. It would help if people tried to read existing threads before posting new ones, though I appreciate that, with the release of Go 5, the forum is particularly busy.

I've answered the question about how up to date the maps are here.

I've made some comments as to the unfeasibility of downloads and a few related points here.

Hard as it is, can we try to keep discussion of these issues to the existing threads - it helps everyone. Thanks.
